New grants announced - The Welsh Government have announced the SMART Capital Equipment Fund.

The SMART Capital Equipment Fund supports organisations in Wales to improve productivity, competitiveness and sustainable growth through investment in new and innovative capital equipment. This includes digitalisation, automation and advanced manufacturing technologies.

This competitive fund supports investment in new technologies, equipment and processes that enable organisations to create greater value from the resources they use, including people, materials, energy and assets.

Xero has advised that it’s making changes to the price of its
subscriptions in the UK.

This reflects their ongoing commitment
to investing in a platform that helps you run your business.
From 1 September 2026, the following changes will apply:

• Ignite plan increases to £18 per month
• Grow plan increases to £39 per month
• Comprehensive plan increases to £55 per month
• Ultimate plan increases to £70 per month

This year, Xero delivered a wave of new capabilities to
make the product faster, more insightful, and smarter
behind the scenes.

Pricing is in GBP, excludes VAT, and is subject to change at any time on notice to you as per Xero’s T&C's (but we have come expect the increase in September).

Wirral Mencap is a local independent charity that supports adults with learning disabilities, as well as their families and carers, on the Wirral. It is often assumed that, as a ‘Mencap’ group, the charity is well-resourced. However, we are in fact completely independent. We raise all our own funds and are governed by local people. We are affiliated to The Royal Mencap Society solely by way of our mission.

Wirral Mencap provides opportunities and support that reduce isolation, provide information and advice, and enhance quality of life for people with learning disabilities in the local area. We also offer a wide range of courses, from the Great Friendship Course to Money Skills and much more.

GRANT Announcement

2026/27 - New call for applications under the Town Centre Grant
Conwy County Borough Council is launching a further round of funding under the Welsh Government’s Transforming Towns Town Centre Grant by offering grants to support improvements to the external appearance of commercial properties, regeneration, and the overall visual impact of the town centre.

The scheme offers funding of up to 70% on eligible capital expenditure for projects with awards offered from £3,000 up to £15,000.

Following confirmation of award all offers will need to have been accepted and have drawn down funds no later than 26 February 2027.
