Calling all Making Tax Digital clients...
..If you're unsure that's you...If you had over £50,000 sales on your last return for the tax year then at the beginning of the new one at 6th April, 2026, you will have to submit quarterly tax returns.
So, 6th April 2026 -30th June 2026 will be your first.
What to do: I'll need your 25/26 figures for the tax year we're in currently (a full years) that will have to be filed as normal, plus the 4 quarterly returns. Effectively, 5 returns.
Don't panic though, I'll hopefully have your 12 months return out of the way before your first quarter is then due... but thats up to you...Please don't delay after the tax year end 5th April.
If you want any other information drop me a message.
P.S. for the following tax year its anticipated all those with a £20 000 sales will also have to, then maybe £10,000, till all sole traders are doing their quarterly returns.
