More than 750,000 child trust funds remain unclaimed

If you or someone you know was born between 1 September 2002 and 2 January 2011, there's a good
chance they may unknowingly be sitting on thousands of pounds in savings. Every child born in that period received between £250 and £500 at birth from the government under the Child Trust Fund scheme, which was put in an investment account for them. More than 750,000 accounts worth £2,200 on average remain unclaimed, the government has revealed.
