The Scottish Government has announced that the First Home Fund will be returning with completions from 1st April!

This time they have only set aside £60million compared to the £150million last time round so if you are interested in this you should get in contact asap.

The State Pension age in the UK has officially risen to age 66, and will eventually reach age 68 in the next few years!

Step 1: Ensure you are on track for a full state pension. You can check your National Insurance record and pension forecast in your personal tax account on the government website!

Step 2: Ensure you are adequately saving to top this up via a workplace pension scheme or a personal pension.

A Financial Adviser can help you set goals, ensure you are saving sufficiently, ensure your investments are at the right risk for you, and much more such as cashflow modelling and projections.

FIRST TIME BUYERS - FIRST HOME FUND ❗️

Due to the success of the scheme, the scheme is closing for this tax year on Friday 2nd of October.

If you were planning to use this scheme then, you will need to have a mortgage agreement in principle, an offer accepted on a house and an application for the Scheme submitted by then.

For my existing clients who have already submitted your application, these will still go ahead! 👍

Early suggestions are that due to the success of the scheme, it will be returning March 2021, so watch this space! 😀

The Scottish Government have announced an imminent change in Land and Building Transaction Tax on House Purchases. This could save you up to £2,100 based on a £250,000 purchase.
