The kids are back to school and we’re back to it.

After the summer holidays, a Disney cruise and a little bit of time away from the usual routine, it’s back to business properly here at Craggman Bookkeeping & Accounts.

After a brilliant few days away — including going full pirate for Pirate Night — we’re now back home, refreshed and ready to get stuck in again.

Meet Carrie!

Carrie joined the Craggman team around two and a half months ago as our new bookkeeper, so we thought it was about time we properly introduced her!

She’s already settled in brilliantly and has become a great part of the team.

Next week, while we’re off on our Disney cruise 🚢, Carrie will be holding the fort and keeping things ticking over back at Craggman HQ.

If you need anything while we’re away, you can still get in touch as normal. Carrie will be on hand to help and deal with anything she can. If it’s something she can’t resolve herself, she’ll make sure it’s passed on to us.

So although we might be away, Craggman Bookkeeping & Accounts is still very much open for business!

Making Tax Digital is now here for some sole traders and landlords — and more people will be brought in over the next couple of years.

MTD for Income Tax applies if your qualifying income from self-employment and/or property is over:

✅ £50,000 — from April 2026
✅ £30,000 — from April 2027
✅ £20,000 — from April 2028

This means keeping digital records, using compatible software, and submitting quarterly updates to HMRC.

It is not just something to think about at the end of the tax year. The sooner your records are set up properly, the easier the transition will be.
