Women are more likely than men to say they are worse off financially than a year ago, according to the latest Financial Health Report 2026: Women and Wealth. Women are earning, inheriting, and controlling more wealth than ever before, but this greater financial power is not yet translating into improved confidence or resilience.

Despite this, the findings of the report, carried out by Opinium, show a shift among younger women. Those aged 18-34 are investing in higher numbers and are more likely to have a financial plan.
