January can be a tough month with the hype of the festive period being over and the challenges of everyday life setting in. Next week, the media will refer to Jan 16th as 'Blue Monday', which is apparently when people find it most difficult adjusting back to ‘normality’.

For me, spending time with those you care about the most can make a big difference to how I feel so make sure you are taking small positive steps when you can.

Finances have been proven to be major cause of people's anxieties especially when there isn’t a clear plan or way of basing very important financial decisions.

Every one of my clients gets a masterplan so that they have the confidence that every financial decision they make is the right one, allowing them to enjoy what’s most important to them.

Great day helping residents and meeting staff at The Chocolate Quarter in Keynsham.

Factoring in care later on in life is an important part of any financial plan and it can come in many forms.

St Monica Trust have an incredible development here. It’s probably the best retirement village I've seen along with a whole host of amenities open to the general public. Must try out the cinema some time...

Delighted to be accepted by the Armed Forces Covenant. It's a way of demonstrating ongoing support for the Armed Forces and their families, in recognition of everything that they have given.

With very close connections to South Devon and in particular Exmouth and Lympstone, it's fantastic being able to support those communities more closely.

We have also pledged to our own range of commitments under the covenant which can be found on the website.

As some of you may have realised I'm working alongside Greg Probert (the company name is a bit of a give away!).

This is the first time we've met up since it was announced. Greg and I go way back and even back then it was clear we worked very well together as well as being good friends.

We service the whole of the South West:

- Greg is near Exeter
- I am in Keynsham (near Bath)

So if you or anyone you know have thought about getting financial advice, get in touch for a chat and I will answer any questions you have. Jen, the children and I are always in Devon so for those of you who know me from a previous life, I look after clients in Exmouth and South Devon too.
