🚨 Companies House is going digital. Is your business ready for April 2028?

The ECCTA reforms are the biggest shake-up to Companies House in over 180 years, and they're already underway.

From 18 November 2025, identity verification became mandatory for new directors and PSCs, with existing directors required to verify by November 2026.

By April 2028, digital filing becomes the standard, accounts must be filed using approved software, and paper filing is on its way out.

What this means for directors:
βœ… Greater personal responsibility for accuracy
βœ… Tighter scrutiny of accounts and filings
βœ… Less room to correct errors after submission

How to prepare now:
βœ… Verify director and PSC identities
βœ… Keep your Companies House records accurate
βœ… Move away from paper-based processes
βœ… Talk to your accountant or ACSP early

🚨 The biggest mistake new business owners make before they've even made their first sale...

Choosing the wrong business structure.

What seems like a simple decision today could impact your tax bill, compliance requirements, personal liability, funding opportunities, and future growth for years to come.

Sole Trader? Partnership? Limited Company? CIC? Charity?

Each comes with its own advantages, responsibilities, and risks.

The right structure can help your business grow.
The wrong one can be expensive to fix later.

Before you launch, make sure you're building on the right foundation.

Stay compliant. Stay profitable.
