Can you pay into someone else’s pension?
We’ve added a simple calculator to our website to help you see how pension contributions for a spouse, child, grandchild or another family member may grow over time.
You can adjust:
• How much you pay in
• The tax relief added
• The growth rate
• The age you want to see the value at
For example, if the pension owner does not earn money, you can usually pay in £2,880 a year. HMRC then adds £720, making £3,600 in total.
