From April 2026, if your combined rental and business income is over ยฃ50,000, youโ€™ll need to keep digital records and file updates to HMRC quarterly.
From 2027, this drops to ยฃ30,000.

You left the job, took the risk, built something of your own.
No boss. No one telling you what to do. Just you and the business you built from scratch.
And yet - come January, or the end of the VAT quarter, or whenever that letter lands - there it is.
