Meet Emma and Leo! 👋

They both came to Pocknells for work experience, and we’re really pleased to now have them as part of the team as Accounts Assistant Apprentices! 💙

They joined us as part of our 2026 apprentices and have been busy settling in and getting to know the team.

It’s great to see them go from work experience to starting their careers with us, and we are looking forward to seeing them learn and develop along the way!

What a night! 🏆

The Pocknells team had a brilliant evening at the Accounting Excellence Awards last night, and we’re very happy to be coming away with two Bronze awards!

🥉 Client Service Award - Medium & Large Firms

🥉Practice Leader of the Year for John Holliday

We’re really proud to be recognised in both categories, especially alongside so many brilliant firms and people from across the profession.

A particularly big thank you to our team. The Client Service award is a lovely bit of recognition for all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes and the care everyone puts into looking after our clients.

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists, and thanks to Accounting Excellence for a great evening.

🟥 Red card offences!

After last night’s England game, we thought we’d join in. ⚽

Have you found yourself guilty of any of these? 👀

Not every accounting mistake deserves a straight red though…

🟨 Some are only **yellow cards** – a warning to get things sorted before they turn into a bigger problem.

How many yellow cards have you picked up? 😅

⚡ Thinking about buying an electric company car?

If it’s brand new and fully electric, businesses can currently claim 100% of the cost against profits in the first yearthrough First Year Allowances.

However, this relief is currently due to end on 1 April 2027.

If an electric vehicle is already part of your plans, it may be worth reviewing your options sooner rather than later to ensure you don’t miss out on the available tax relief.

Need some advice? Get in touch with our team today.
