Tourism and hospitality businesses: are you ready for the VAT changes? 👀

From 25 June to 1 September 2026, eligible children's meals, tickets, and attraction entry fees will qualify for a temporary 5% VAT rate as part of the Government's Great British Summer Savings initiative.

For businesses across Pembrokeshire and West Wales, this could be a fantastic opportunity to attract more families during the busy summer season.

The challenge starts now. 💚

This weekend, Team LHP will take on one of the toughest sporting events in Wales, Long Course Weekend Wales.

But for us, this is about far more than swimming,
cycling, and running. Following the loss of our beloved colleague Elin in 2025, we are taking on this challenge in her memory whilst raising funds for two incredible causes close to our hearts: the Chemotherapy Unit and Special Care Baby Unit at Glangwili Hospital through Hywel Dda Health Charities.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our clients, friends, family, local businesses, and community, we’ve already raised an amazing £18,506.

Now we’re asking one final question...

Can we reach £20,000 before the finish line?

Over the next few days, Team LHP will be taking on:
🏊 Friday – The Swim
🚴 Saturday – The Cycle
🏃 Sunday – The Run

We’ll be sharing updates throughout the weekend, so keep an eye on our page and cheer the team on as they take on this incredible challenge.

Did you spot some familiar faces on S4C Prynhawn Da today? 👀

Our Directors, Janet Collins and Sam Hart, joined the programme to talk about a cause that means so much to everyone at LHP, our fundraising efforts in memory of our much-loved colleague, Elin.

With Long Course Weekend Wales taking place this weekend, members of Team LHP will be taking on the swim, cycle, and run to raise funds for the Chemotherapy Unit and Special Care Baby Unit at Glangwili Hospital through Hywel Dda Health Charities.

It was a wonderful opportunity to share why this challenge is so important to us and how the incredible support from our community has helped us raise an amazing amount so far.

Following the loss of a dear colleague in 2025, this challenge is about much more than swimming, cycling, and running. It's about honouring their memory and supporting services that make a real difference to local families every day.
