Companies House are implementing new mandatory verification checks for all new company directors and individuals with significant control from autumn 2025. This will become mandatory for existing directors and PSCs from Autumn 2026. You may have already received and email regarding this.

Who Needs to Verify?
• Company Directors: Both new appointees and existing directors.
• Persons with Significant Control (PSCs): Individuals who own or control more than 25% of a company.
• Others: Individuals filing on behalf of a company, such as company secretaries or authorised agents.

📅 Key Dates
• 18 March 2025: Registration opens for Authorised Corporate Service Providers (ACSPs).
• 8 April 2025: Voluntary identity verification becomes available.
• Autumn 2025: Mandatory identity verification begins for new directors and PSCs.
• Autumn 2026: Deadline for existing directors and PSCs to complete identity verification.
