It was Colne networking for me this morning at Tubbs of Colne which was a great meeting 👏🏼 the topic of the morning was how networking has worked for us all.

How well do you know your pension?💰

Just because you have a pension doesn’t mean to say that it’s set up in the most appropriate way.

More often than not, I find it’s probably not.

Recently, I met a new client that had held an old workplace pension in a cash deposit account since the 90’s 🤯

In the last 10 years, that fund has lost 27% in spending value due to the impact of inflation 📉

This client presumed that because they had a pension, it was suitable. It’s important that you take advice from someone who can explain your arrangements in simple terms and help you to understand them. The earlier you engage with a professional, the more chance they can make an impact on your future 🫡

Today marks Muldoon Financial Planning’s 2nd birthday 🙌🏼 How has it been two years already?!

There are so many people who have been a massive part of this short but incredible journey so far, and I can’t thank them enough ❤️

It’s important to me that I celebrate these milestones in what sometimes can be a highly intense environment - so today along with my support team at Cipher Administration, we will enjoy a dress down day, chippy dinner and an abundance of snacks 🤣

Here’s to the future - more milestones, more memories and more of doing what I love ❤️

Weekly Round Up

This week has marked the beginning of the 26/27 tax year. With that, comes a reset of our tax allowances for the next twelve months⏳

This week I have been:

- Helping existing and new clients fully maximise their £20,000 ISA allowance for the tax year - remember the key benefit here is that ISA’s help shelter your money from tax ✅

- Helping a new client make sense of their pension situation. Full review of their existing pensions to be completed, along with a full cash flow analysis showing their income position at their intended retirement age 🫡

- Helped some new clients fully protect their mortgage against the event of death. They now know that if the unexpected happened, they have cover in place to take care of their mortgage when they need it the most 🏠👬

Today marks the last working day of the 25/26 tax year, the last month has been chaos 🤯👏🏼

Over the last few weeks I’ve been:

- Fully maximising any unused ISA allowances✅
- Helping clients tax plan for different scenarios by the use of pension contributions✅
- Clients making employer pension contributions prior to the end of their financial year✅

Oh, and managed to fit my stag party to Benidorm in too, which was very civilised of course 🤣🤒

This morning was my first official meeting as a member of BNI Kudos, Lancashire, UK. Really looking forward to getting stuck in 🙌🏼 this week was ‘prop week’ so no surprise to see my standard use of Freddos to explain the impact of inflation 📈😂

Yesterday at BANG Padiham we welcomed back Stuart Applegate as a sub who rolled back the years (weeks 🤣) to deliver a Toolbox Talk
