๐ท Profitable on paper, skint in the bank.
One of the most confusing moments as a business owner is looking at a healthy profit figure and a worryingly empty bank account.
Both can be true at the same time.
Profit is what your business has earned. Cash is what is actually sitting in your account right now.
The gap is usually one of three things:
๐ฉ Customers who have not paid yet.
๐
Tax sitting on the horizon.
๐ฆ Money tied up in stock or kit.
๐ Profit pays the long game. Cash pays this month's bills.
You need to watch both, or one will quietly catch you out.
Save this so you remember the difference. If yours never seem to add up, send us a message and we will take a look.
