Improved technology has platforms charging as little as 0.15%.

Low cost managed portfolio services offering passive investments at less that 0.25%

Even with fixed fee financial advice you should be aiming for sub 1% on a modestly sized portfolio. If you’re paying more, your adviser will be retiring long before you do.

I founded 4 Financial Planning on the 2nd January 2020. I was adamant I’d never have an office and that it was an unnecessary expense. Just over 2 years later we moved into our first office. I had never appreciated the importance of having a division between work and home life. It feels great to have some structure and a kitchen which only has milk and tea!. The view isn’t bad either.

Deliveroo? More like Deliverouch

I've long been an advocate of sustainable investing. I believe that businesses that treat their employees and the planet with respect will ultimately be more profitable and provide better returns. The world is becoming more conscious of how it spends its money, which Deliveroo found out to its peril this morning. The original estimate £3.90 to £4.60 a share, but this morning buyers showed their concern about how Deliveroo treats its employee when shares fell by 31% to £2.70.

The environmental, social and governance impact of companies is here to stay.
