Well done to the brave team of colleagues here at IEP Financial that completed the 5k Tough Mudder last Friday! Over the 5K course the team faced a number of physical and mental challenges during the various obstacles. Some obstacles were gruelling; getting electrocuted with 10,000 volts, swimming in pools of ice and climbing up, over then down a 40 foot a frame.

Here are a few pictures from the day.

So far the team have raised £846 for local charity Together Co. A big thank you to everyone that helped us reach this amount and for supporting the team and a worthy cause. ✨Here it is! At the end of June the Midsummer Ball took place to fundraise for charities that help young people across Sussex. Our chairman, Ian Poysden, did a very special one-night-only performance during the Las Vegas themed night to sponsor the Starr Trust Charity. 🕺🪩

Ian raised and incredible £20,000, and the Midsummer Ball collectively raised over £38,000 for all the beneficiaries - the Starr Trust (), You Raise Me Up (), Sussex Beacon () and Chestnut Tree House ()! 🤩

It's been an honour to be involved in such an incredible event! Follow the for updates on all the fantastic work they do. 🙌

The IEP Financial Summer Newsletter 2022 is out! 🌞

📩 Summers are generally a chance to relax in better weather, enjoy some time off and potentially get abroad. This year, however, all of these come with added stress for many households and businesses.

The implications of steadily rising inflation on the cost of living, particularly energy and food prices, are focusing minds across the country. With wages lagging behind the headline figures, the impact on every level of financial planning – from everyday budgeting and saving decisions to those all-important holidays – is a reality for most.

If you are near retirement, you may be concerned both about timing stepping away from work and funding your lifestyle in the current economic climate. Every month this year has seen another hike in inflation, with the Bank of England predicting a two-year wait for a return to January 2022 levels. Last Saturday our Ian Poysden performed at the Midsummer Ball 2022 to fundraise for the Starr Trust charity and raised an incredible £20,000 in aid of helping young people across Sussex! 🤩 Here’s some words from the man himself:

💬 “I’m very pleased to raise such a fantastic amount for the Starr Trust charity and very relieved to have ticked off one of my biggest fears of singing live in public in front of such a large and discerning audience! I look forward to following the updates from the Starr Trust on the young people this enables them to support and would encourage others to take a look at what they do and get involved however they can.”
