Slade House CL Caravan Site We are an Off grid caravan club certified Location (CL) campsite on the edge of the Lincolnshire fens.

CL Sites….. similar to pubs/shops/libraries etc use them or lose them. We like many others are considering alternative uses for the site as costs increase and bookings decrease. We love sharing our site but hay is looking like a better contender 😬

This little fella is just an hour old…. And amazingly just 1100 grams….our dog had pups that were bigger!

We are open for the season! ☺️ it’s been a quiet start but how much of that is down to the poor weather or the increasing costs of fuel? Can’t wait to welcome you all this season and we have lambs arriving at the moment! 😍 not to mention our cute Pygmy goats who were a late addition last year (Clarkson, Hammond and May) you can decide who is who when you meet them 😂

Its 1st of April....so not only April fools day but opening day for a fresh season here at Shade House CL 😀

We are about ready....just the last few 100 holes to fill today that the badgers have dug over the winter snouting around for worms 🤦

I've done zero pushing on the marketing front so there's loads of availability so you will be in for a quite stay should you book.

Just one bit of bad news I'm afraid...we have been open 5 years...this is season 6 and never had a price increase and while we don't have many overheads the ones we do have have all gone up....some several times during that period!

So sadly our new nightly charge is a whopping £10 per night....I'm sure we are still at the very lower end of the price bracket for most CL's

Of course we still have the stay for 6 nights and the 7th is free.

If you already have a booking at the old rate it will be honored at that rate ;-)

We look forward to seeing both our regulars and new visitors this coming season

We had a couple of guests turn up yesterday that weren’t booked in 😂 These two monkeys bust on to the site from a neighbouring farmers land… fortunately there was no one on site at the time and they were quickly rounded up and returned to the farm before any campers arrived!

We can’t believe that it is nearly the end of this years season already!!! Just a few weeks until the end of October so if you want to visit come on over 🥰🥰 we’d love to see you all before autumn kicks in

We dragged our own caravan out last weekend and headed up to North Yorkshire staying and a lovely little CL site called Stackhouse Farm just outside Settle....I can't tag them as they don't seem to have a page but the views from the site were just amazing....well worth a visit if you are out that way.

My good wife hiked the Yorkshire 3 peaks....58,000 steps she did in a single day....but she does only have little legs 🤣 .... I was busy drinking beer in the caravan 😉

Donna's efforts were all in preparation for the big one at the end of the month...the National three peaks....all to be done within 24 hours so one has to be done in the dark....its all to raise money for a farming charity.

This ambitious goal is not only to conquer the peaks, but also to raise £5,000 in support of the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI), a charity that provides crucial mental, financial, and emotional support to farming communities across the UK. With agriculture forming the backbone of the country’s food system, RABI plays a vital role in safeguarding the well-being of those who work the land.

She will start of with Ben Nevis in Scotland, then travel to the lakes to do Scafell pike before finally heading down to wales to go up Snowden....60% of people that attempt this fail to meet the 24h target!

It has been suggested that we let a log fired pizza van visit site on a Saturday evening…… so would you use it or are you more than happy with your BBQ and doing your own thing? I’m a sucker for pizza but not everyone is me 🫣😂😂
