Well done to our Business Development Manager, Gaynor Purton who, for the fourth year running, organised the "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree!" event (a charity Christmas community sing-a-long) which took place on 23rd December, Christmas Eve Eve, raising over £1000 for her local Food Bank.

She said ‘The idea was mooted with a friend several years ago and following COVID we were able to make it happen. The first year was organised in a matter of weeks with about 100 attendees but now we seem to be thinking and planning it all year round and it now attracts about a 1000 people.

We are so grateful for the support of the local community and the musicians that give up their time. I absolutely love it, it is definitely the highlight of my Christmas.’

We are pleased to announce another key appointment at Desire Wealth Management.

Darren Weir has joined us as an Associate Director and Financial Adviser, bringing a wealth of experience with over 25 years in the financial services industry.
Wesley and Louise previously worked with Darren over a ten year period and know his enthusiasm and expertise will be an asset to Desire Wealth Management.

Like Wesley, Darren also specialises in Pensions, Investments and Estate Planning and is driven to build long term relationships, providing first class service with client outcomes at the heart of everything he does.

Wesley, Louise and Darren are excited to be reunited again.
Darren will be focusing on new client relationships, his appointment strengthens Desire Wealth Management’s client offering and underpins our existing areas of expertise.

International Women’s Day – What does that mean to you?

To recognise IWD, we have been thinking about who our champion is. How have they influenced and/or inspired us.

Who is yours? Is there someone in your business, industry, family, network? Honour them by thanking them for what they do and how they have affected you.

There are plenty of amazing women in history who have played major roles in science, civil rights, democracy, engineering, literature, women’s rights … the list goes on. Perhaps one of these women had an impact on you.

A big shout out to the four ladies of Desire Wealth Management, couldn’t do it without you.

And don’t forget its Mother’s Day on Sunday.

Well done to our Business Development Manager, Gaynor Purton who, for the third year running, organised a Charity Christmas Community Sing-a-long which took place on Christmas Eve Eve , raising nearly £1400 for her local Food Bank.

She said ‘It is such an amazing event to organise and it’s so rewarding to see (and hear) people of all ages join in with the singing. The community support was incredible, doubling last years turn out, and we can’t thank them enough for their generosity’.

It’s a real family affair with both her children, husband and father-in-law playing or singing about 15 Christmas Classics including ‘Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree’ which is where the event takes its name from.
