From 6th April 2026, the UK will implement new minimum wage rates.

If you have employees, it’s time to review salaries and pay rates to ensure you stay compliant.

Sole traders-

We draw close to the end of the tax year. The best time to invest in new equipment is now.

You’ll still save tax waiting till after 6th April but you’ll wait a full year to get the tax relief.

Sole traders/individuals-

If you’re a higher rate tax payer, then making pension contributions before the end of the tax year will save you tax. Not only does hmrc top of your contribution by 25% of your contribution, you could also reduce your tax bill by up to 40% of the gross contribution.

Example- individual with a salary of £125,000, pays £20,000 into a personal pension.
£25,000 is invested (hmrc has topped up by £5000)
Further tax relief of £10,000 will also be available.
