We're officially in! Evolvebooks is now an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) with Companies House.

This means we're fully authorised to verify identities and submit filings on behalf of our clients under the new rules introduced by the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023.

📅 Key Dates:
18 March 2025: ACSP registration opened.
8 April 2025: Voluntary identity verification began.
Autumn 2025: Identity verification becomes mandatory for new company incorporations and appointments.
Spring 2026: Only ACSPs will be permitted to file documents on behalf of clients.

Why this matters?
Compliance: Only ACSPs can handle filings under the new regulations.
Efficiency: Avoid delays by ensuring your filings are managed by authorised professionals.
Security: Enhanced identity verification processes protect against fraud and ensure transparency.

If your current provider isn't an ACSP, they won't be able to assist with filings once the mandatory requirements come into effect. Ensure your business remains compliant and efficient by partnering with an authorised provider.

Yesterday, I won an award! 🎉 Exciting, right? Of course, I proudly shared it on my WhatsApp Status with my clients and closest friends.

This morning, someone said to me, "Wow, your company is growing so quickly in just a couple of months!"

But here’s the thing—my company has been open since 2021. And I’ve been working, learning, and training myself long before that.

It’s a reminder that what looks like overnight success is often years of effort behind the scenes. Late nights, setbacks, continuous learning, and moments of doubt—none of those make it to the highlight reel, but they are just as real as the wins.

So if you’re building something and it feels like progress is slow, keep going. One day, someone will notice your quick success too. 😉

This weekend was all about connection, celebration, and empowerment. 💜

I kicked things off at Metro Bank in Southend, where I met with inspiring businesswomen, sharing stories and ideas alongside my business partner. Then, off to another incredible event—because when women come together, amazing things happen!

But celebrating International Women’s Day isn’t just about business; it’s about community, friendship, and the moments that fill our hearts. I wrapped up the weekend with a friend, enjoying a peaceful walk in the park, feeding the deer with the kids, and appreciating the beauty of the everyday.

Here’s to strong women—lifting each other up in business and in life! ✹

This morning, I attended the first Basildon Business Leaders Briefing of 2025 at the Holiday Inn. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with local businesses and hear from Cllr Gavin Callaghan, Leader of Basildon Council, and Martin Whitely, CEO of Thames Freeport.

Cllr Callaghan emphasized the importance of backing local businesses and shared exciting updates on the new council structure proposal and the regeneration plans for Basildon Town Centre. These changes could bring significant opportunities for businesses and the local economy—definitely something to keep an eye on!

Discussions like these reinforce the importance of collaboration and investment in our local economy. It’s inspiring to see leaders and businesses working together to shape the future of Basildon.

💬 Were you at the event? What are your thoughts on the proposed changes? Let’s keep the conversation going!

A little bit about my roots...

Today, 28th February, is Día de Andalucía—a day of pride, history, and identity for all Andaluces. It marks the anniversary of the 1980 referendum when the people of Andalucía voted for autonomy, giving our region the recognition and self-governance it deserved. It was a turning point in our history, a moment where we stood up and said, we want to shape our own future.

Being Andaluza is more than just where I’m from—it’s a way of life. It’s the warmth of our people, the strength of our traditions, and the passion we put into everything we do. It’s the sound of flamenco in the streets, the joy of a long lunch with tapas, and the elegance of our ferias, where horses, music, and dance bring communities together.

But being far from Andalucía, my family, and my lifelong friends isn’t always easy. There are days when I miss the sun-soaked plazas, the familiar voices, and that special sense of belonging. No matter how many miles away I am, a part of me will always be walking those cobblestone streets.

Yet, I am also incredibly grateful to be here in the UK. Living here has opened up new opportunities, enriched my perspective, and allowed me to build a life I truly love. It’s a beautiful feeling to hold two places in my heart—to be deeply rooted in Andalucía while flourishing in my new home.

And as if the universe knew today was special, after so many cloudy days in England, we’ve woken up to the sun! Almost as if Andalucía wanted to remind me that no matter where I am, I’ll always carry a piece of it with me.

Why “Good Enough” Is Sometimes the Best Choice 💡

As business owners, we often chase perfection. But here’s a little secret: sometimes “good enough” is exactly what you need.

Whether it’s getting that invoice out, posting on social media, or sending a quick follow-up email—done is better than perfect.

Perfection can stall progress. I’ve seen business owners delay decisions, miss opportunities, and stress over tiny details that, in the grand scheme of things, don’t matter as much as they think.

So, if you’re feeling stuck today, give yourself permission to do it “good enough.” You might be surprised at how far it takes you!

What’s something you’ve been overthinking lately?

đŸ©Did you know that treating your team to a box of doughnuts (or any small staff perk) can actually be tax-deductible?đŸ©

In the UK, trivial benefits—small gifts or treats under £50 per employee—are exempt from tax and NI, as long as they aren’t a reward for work. That means those little gestures of appreciation, like coffee runs, birthday surprises, or yes, even a box of doughnuts, can be a sweet way to boost morale while being tax-efficient.

Of course, HMRC won’t fund your daily caffeine fix just because you love lattes. But reasonable spending on keeping your team happy and motivated? That’s a smart (and delicious) business move.

A happy team and a tax-friendly expense? Sounds like a win-win!

Where are my sweet-tooth business owners? What’s your go-to small treat for your team? đŸȘ☕

💡 Payments on Account – What You Need to Know in 2025! 💡
January has passed, and many business owners and freelancers are now facing the reality of their Self-assessment tax bill. One of the most frequently asked questions this month has been:

👉 Why do I have to make Payments on Account?
👉 How are they calculated?
👉 Can I reduce them if my income has dropped?

If these questions sound familiar, you're not alone! Payments on Account can be confusing, but understanding them can help you manage your cash flow better and avoid any unexpected tax surprises later in the year.
Last year, we published a blog explaining Payments on Account in simple terms, and since it’s still relevant, we’re resharing it now to help you stay informed. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/ghh5jdxn
