𝗗𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆?

Our physiotherapy clinic client sought support from BGA Accountants as patient numbers increased and its team expanded. The owners wanted to establish whether taking on more practitioners was strengthening the business’s financial position.

We reviewed the bookkeeping and developed monthly reports that separated the clinic’s income sources and tracked costs for each practitioner. A closer look revealed an uneven pattern: some appointment slots were consistently underused, whilst the busiest practitioners were increasingly stretched. These findings helped the owners reassess scheduling, practitioner availability and the mix of appointments offered. Regular capacity reviews then gave them a firmer basis for recruitment and working hours, helping them recognise where the existing team could accommodate demand and where additional support was needed.

Our growing independent pest control client approached BGA Accountants after building a strong customer base but finding that increased demand was putting pressure on profitability.

By introducing clearer monthly management reporting and cash flow forecasting, we helped the business understand how different services performed, including one-off treatments, commercial contracts, and preventative maintenance. This revealed that some distant jobs required significantly more technician time once travel was considered, while local recurring contracts provided more predictable income and stronger margins.
