🚨 NEW HMRC SSP RULES NOW IN EFFECT 🚨

From 6th April 2026, major changes to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) have officially come into force under the Employment Rights Act 2025.

Here’s what’s changed 👇

✅ SSP is now paid from DAY ONE of sickness absence
✅ The 3 unpaid waiting days have been removed
✅ Employees no longer need to meet a minimum earnings threshold to qualify
✅ SSP for 2026/27 is £123.25 per week
✅ Lower earners may receive 80% of their average weekly earnings instead

These changes are designed to give employees fairer financial support when they need it most 💼❤️
