Great news the government has listened in part to the industry and rural MPs.

The proposed threshold for IHT to increase to £2.5m per person for business owners.

Unfortunate it's taken them so long to make this U turn with needless financial and mental pressure on many family businesses.

Farm households previously excluded from the government’s £400 Energy Bills Support Scheme because they did not have a domestic supply contract are now able to apply for alternative funding. Many farmhouses are supplied via a business tariff as part of the farm business electricity metre. They had been frozen out of the previous energy scheme as the support has been applied automatically (£67 per month) to domestic households with domestic tariffs/contracts....
