A heads up if you use a Cash ISA...

A change worth knowing about: from April 2027, the Cash ISA allowance for under-65s will fall from £20,000 to £12,000. The overall ISA allowance stays at £20,000 – but the remaining £8,000 would need to go into a Stocks and Shares ISA to use it in full.

If you've always defaulted to cash, this is probably the nudge to have a proper look at your options. The 2026/27 tax year is the last one where the full £20,000 can go into cash — so there's no rush, but there is a deadline worth knowing about.
