evident that Joanne Pilon believes strongly in teamwork. Joanne is always willing to help businesses of all sizes find ways of maximizing their potential, and she truly believes that one of the best investments in any business is to find the right bookkeeper. Our service does not end with the preparation of your income tax return, we provide you with year-round tax support. We even help you respond to CRA inquiries. We keep a copy of supporting documents in our office, so we are able to respond quickly and accurately to CRA’s request for documents and send you a copy for your record. The difference between a good bookkeeper and a better bookkeeper is not the software they use but the professional knowledge and experience that they have. I have seen it far too many times with clients coming to me and saying “I had a bookkeeper, but my files are a mess!” or “I cannot understand what they are doing”. Having expertise, experience, professionalism, and competent people on your team is a valuable and worthwhile investment in yourself and your company for sustainability and future growth. Having the correct financial procedures and cash management methods in place, based on analytic reports and regular health checks, is just part of having a proven bookkeeping system and what the JP Bookkeeping & Tax Services Inc. system provides. Indeed, when a new potential client sets up their first meeting, the “team approach” is definitely evident. “My Office Manager, Ann Boll, is also my senior bookkeeper. Together we have over 75 years of experience. So, when the first meeting, which is free by the way, is arranged, we both attend the meeting with the potential client,” Joanne stated. By having both Ann and Joanne attend the first meet, it has been found that their “two heads” are better able to understand the needs of the potential client. “We can listen to the prospect and then let him/her know what we can do to help. We don’t spend our time telling the client what we are capable of doing. We listen first and then suggest what we feel will best meet his/her needs.”

Maximize your tax savings with your RRSP contributions 💰

Your RRSP contribution receipt is a key document issued by your financial institution that confirms how much you’ve contributed to your Registered Retirement Savings Plan. It’s essential for claiming deductions, reducing your taxable income, and keeping more money in your pocket at tax time.

Remember: You’ll typically receive two receipts—one for contributions made during the calendar year, and another for the first 60 days of the following year. Don’t miss out on either!

Stay organized, file smart, and make every dollar count this tax season.
