HAPPY 100TH BIRTHDAY, WINNIE-THE-POOH!
On October 14, 1926, the first Winnie-the-Pooh book was published.
Back in 2024, Gunnar, the owner of Gun Tax, was driving through White River, Ontario, when he spotted the Winnie-the-Pooh monument.
Naturally, he turned around to check it out!
He even stopped at the Continental Motel Dining Lounge — not because he was hungry, but because he wanted to ask more questions about Pooh.
Fun fact: The real bear Winnie was named after Winnipeg, Manitoba, but was purchased in White River by Canadian soldier Harry Colbourn in 1914.
Then Gunnar decided to take a picture of the monument.
Apparently, Gunnar can find tax deductions a lot better than he can find the focus button on his camera!
