Your money has been sitting in checking for five years. At this point, it’s practically on vacation. 🏖️

I love a healthy emergency fund.

What I don’t love? Watching women leave money sitting idle simply because they don’t know what else to do with it.

Cash feels comfortable. Familiar. Safe.

But comfort and financial security aren’t always the same thing.

The goal isn’t to invest every dollar.

It’s to understand how much cash you actually need—and give the rest a purpose.

Your money deserves a job description.

Hot take: Your self-care budget might actually be too small. 💅

I spend a surprising amount of time telling successful women they can afford to spend MORE.

More on travel.
More on experiences.
More on the things that make life feel good.

Because what’s the point of building wealth if you’re too afraid to enjoy any of it?

The goal isn’t to spend recklessly.

It’s to stop treating every dollar spent on yourself like a financial crime.

You can build wealth AND have a fabulous life. The two are not mutually exclusive.

She’s giving designer prices for a very basic investment. 💅

Today’s financial fashion crime?

Paying a 1.18% MER for a U.S. index mutual fund when comparable index exposure may be available for a fraction of the cost.

We’re talking nearly 13X the fee rate compared with a 0.09% alternative.

And no, a higher fee doesn’t automatically mean a better investment.

Sometimes you’re just paying more for the packaging.

Know what you own. Know what you pay. And please, read the fine print.

This is your Monday Market Update — and this week, the bond market politely kicked the door open.

U.S. bond yields pushed above 5%, which is finance-speak for: borrowing money is still expensive, savers are still being paid, and your mortgage pre-approval may need a calming tea.

Meanwhile, markets are already gaming out the U.S. midterms like it’s fantasy football for policy nerds. Gridlock? Big Tech may breathe easier. A Democratic flip? Clean energy and healthcare could get a boost. Republicans hold both chambers? AI infrastructure, defence, energy, and financials may get their moment.

And Brazil gave us the live-action version of why elections matter to markets: stocks surged, the real strengthened, and the Brazil ETF jumped 14.5% after a stronger-than-expected result changed investor expectations.

Different countries. Same question: who gets power, and what do they do with the money?

This is your Monday Market Update — and this week, AI has officially moved from “answer my email” to “please don’t spend my money unsupervised.”

Rates are looking higher-for-longer, the U.S. 10-year Treasury yield crossed 5%, and borrowing costs are once again giving mortgage shoppers the emotional range of a Victorian ghost.

Meanwhile, Meta’s new AI agent Muse is shopping, comparing, booking, and generally behaving like your most efficient friend with access to your wallet. Investors loved it. Amazon? Less charmed.

And Nvidia, never one to miss a business opportunity, is now selling AI guardrails. Build the boom, sell the chips, then sell the safety fence. Capitalism loves a sequel.

I will probably ask you more questions about your money than anyone ever has.

And there’s a reason.

I don’t just want to know what you’re doing with your money.

I want to understand why.

What drives you?
What scares you?
What makes you hesitate?
What makes you feel overwhelmed?

Because sometimes the thing standing between you and your next financial goal isn’t the strategy.

It’s the resistance underneath it.

Once we understand that, we can build a strategy that actually works for you.

That’s when progress starts moving a whole lot faster.

This is your Monday Market Update — and apparently Greenland, AI, and Japan all decided to enter the chat.

Greenland is suddenly interesting for more than the views, thanks to rare earth minerals and supply-chain security. Meta and Shopify are showing how AI is moving from “cute chatbot” to “please buy this sweater.” And interest rates are back to making everyone’s mortgage pre-approval sweat.

Meanwhile, Japan just raised rates to their highest level since 1995 — a reminder that what happens overseas can still show up in North American markets.

Markets are global. AI is getting commercial. And critical minerals are having their main character moment.

This is your Monday Market Update — and this week, the economy has entered its “group chat is spiralling” era.

The Fed may raise rates again, which is excellent news if your money is sitting in a high-yield savings account and less excellent if you’re trying to get a mortgage without needing a fainting couch.

Meanwhile, the biggest names in AI are suddenly saying, “Maybe we should slow this down?” Which is a little like Formula 1 drivers discovering speed limits, but okay, we’re listening.

The big picture: rates may stay higher, tech expectations are shifting, and the market is trying to price in a world where inflation is sticky, AI is expensive, and everyone is pretending to be calm.

“Roxy, I need this to not be my problem anymore.”

I hear this from clients all the time.

They’re running businesses.
Building careers.
Managing households.
Taking care of everyone else.

And somewhere in the background is a never-ending financial to-do list taking up mental space.

That’s where I come in.

I’m not just here to tell you what needs to happen.

I’m here to help make sure it actually gets done.

You don’t need another thing to manage.

You need a partner who can help carry the financial mental load.
