Downtown Sydney A Business Improvement District with the goal to strengthen our economy, while providing value to our community.

The Sydney Downtown Development Association strives to promote retail and commercial activity; assist with beautification, improvement and maintenance of property; and to promote and coordinate events within the district. Our members are those who either own a commercially assessed property within our boundaries or rent a commercial space within those buildings. They pay a levy on their property taxes, which is collected by the CBRM, then provided in 12 equal disbursements to SDDA to carry out its mandate.

It’s Halloween in Downtown Sydney! 👻🎃

Whether you’re out trick-or-treating, shopping, or enjoying everything downtown has to offer, let’s make safety part of the fun!

🕸️ Watch for little ghouls & goblins – Keep an eye out for pedestrians, especially our little trick-or-treaters.

🕸️ Be seen, stay safe – Costumes are spooky, but make sure you can see clearly and others can see you!

🕸️ Stick together – Enjoy the festivities with friends and family.

🕸️ Be kind to our local businesses – Have fun, show some love to our downtown shops, and help keep Charlotte Street clean and tidy.

🕸️ Bundle up – It’s going to be a chilly one, so dress warmly and layer up while enjoying the Halloween fun!

The Trick-or-Treating Locations for Halloween in Downtown Sydney 2026 are here! 👻

A huge thank-you to all the incredible businesses taking part! 🧡

🎶 Don’t miss the surprise performances beginning at 12 noon, make your way to the DJ to join in the spooky celebrations!

We can’t wait to see everyone downtown tomorrow, Saturday, October 24th, from 11 AM–2 PM for a spooktacular day of fun, treats, and Halloween magic! 💀🕸️🎃
