Before you hit submit on your tax return, pause for a second 👀 These 4 quick checks can save you time, stress, and potential CRA follow-ups.

Here’s what to do before you file:

1️⃣ Gather all your tax slips

Make sure you have everything T4s, T5s, T4As, RRSP slips, and any other income documents. Missing even one can cause delays or reassessments.

2️⃣ Check your CRA My Account

Many slips are uploaded directly to CRA. This is especially helpful if you’re still waiting on an employer or financial institution.

3️⃣ Review deductions & credits

RRSP contributions, tuition amounts, medical expenses, and other credits can significantly impact your refund or balance owing.

4️⃣ Don’t wait until the last minute
