It is with great saddness that I anounce the passing of my long time partner & Very good friend Doug Brown. Doug passed at home after a long bttle wih asbestosis which caused lung cancer.

Doug was loved my many and missed by many more.

There will be a grave side service on September 25, 2026 at 1PM. Everyone is welcome to the internment

2025 has been a very eventful year for Dou-Mar Tax Services Ltd.

First and foremost, I am writing to inform you that Doug Brown, my valued business partner, retired on June 30, 2025, after 35 years of dedicated service.

We want to express our sincere gratitude to Doug for his years of commitment and the positive impact he has had on our firm and our clients. I am deeply thankful for his contributions and wish him all the best in retirement.

I understand that this news may raise questions about the future of Dou-Mar and the services we provided. I am pleased to announce that Dou-Mar will continue to serve your needs as in years past and will provide you with the same high level of service and expertise that you have come to expect from Dou-Mar Tax Services Ltd.

We have secured new office space located at 177 Sunset Drive, Regina (located inside Harmony United Church) effective January 6, 2026.

Hi all, I don’t post a lot but I decided that I wanted to know something about the interescharged this year for those who filed in the last few days of the tax season. As was tax professional I have been getting NOA’s a no and were charged $2.00 to $3.00 for ararears interst. According to the statistics below that could mean CRA is potentially scraping billions in un fair and un approved ways to collect

27.5 million people file tax returns in Canada

In the latest year for which CRA data is available, 27.5 million people filed a tax return. Of that, over 9.1 million people or one-third of all filers paid no federal income tax that year. Thus 18.4 million tax filers paid all federal and provincial income tax.
