Hi all. Retired this project due to limited value of the compost. I put biochar in the same category. It's super important to pursue soil regeneration but the most value for compost appears to come from "live" compost. This can be animal or vegetable based, but the nematodes, bacteria, fungi etc all need to be there. The more active the better. .02

Hi everyone. I'm still on vacation. There's a good "3 year overview" coming soon. Can you believe ONfungi is in its 4th season?
* note: current science based review indicates that fungal dominant compost is not a miracle substance. It appears to be a mild compost enhancement well suited to plant starting and possibly peat replacement in plant starter mixes.

Scott the wizard of compost has done it! He has broken the 3 to 1 fungi to bacteria ratio in the 2022 season ONfdc. He achieved a 3.7! Nice work Scott.
