Forgot to post this last week. Definitely have get used to feeling uncomfortable to change my life for the better. Keep doing things as is means your life will stay as is! 💔😩 bad news for an ambitious perfectionist

Nobody wants to learn from someone 100 steps ahead of them

I think they want someone 2 steps ahead.

Someone who just figured it out. Who made mistakes. Who did it while juggling everything and not having a ton of money

That’s why the people in my life keep asking me about real estate investing!

I definitely gravitate more towards someone closer to my level - still an exciting goal to work towards but attainable and relatable.

I think I’ll make a long video - workshop / webinar style - about how to buy your first investment property (and answer the questions in it that I get all the time!)

Stay tuned 👀

I’ve started multiple businesses. If I was starting from scratch today, here’s what I’d do differently.

- Follow people who are already doing it. Study what they offer, how they price it, and how they talk about it. Competition means the market is real.

- Figure out if people actually want it before you build anything. Talk to real humans who would buy it, not just your friends who will be nice to you.

- Come up with the simplest possible version of your offer. Not the perfect version. The one you can deliver right now.

- Sell it before you perfect it. Real validation is when someone gives you money, not when they say great idea.

- Know your numbers. What does it cost you to deliver this in time and money. What do you need to charge to make it worth it.

- Separate your money from day one. Business bank account, track every expense. Future you during tax season will thank you.

The goal isn’t to feel ready. The goal is to start (and make money… obviously)

It’s freeing🪽because even if he never gets a job (extremely unlikely, knock on wood) we would be fine because there seems to be an almost UNLIMITED supply of cash jobs, especially handyman stuff. And those won’t be replaced by AI anytime soon! If we were just sitting and counting the days until our EI and severance runs out it would be soooo much more stressful
