Almost every area of commerce has its bad actors, from pharma to real estate, from banking to transportation. At this time of year, scammers are taking advantage of distracted consumers. With no resources and no plan of action from the Ontario government, (and likely every other province), expect to see fraud continue to rack up victims and dollars for the foreseeable future. Almost every area of commerce has its bad actors, from pharma to real estate, from banking to transportation, and who hasn’t been ripped off in some way through the internet. At this time of year when people are more focussed on getting their shopping done, the crooks are in high gear to take advantage of distracted consumers. Beware!
