A reminder for this week:

Financial planning isn't about being perfect.

It's about making the next good decision.

Small steps taken consistently over time can have a bigger impact than waiting for the perfect moment to start.

Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, it's a good reminder of what matters most.

For many of us, the weekend was spent with family, friends, and loved ones. Moments like these remind us that our greatest assets aren't found in a bank account. They're the people who matter most.

While we can't predict what the future holds, we can take steps today to help protect the people we care about through proper planning, insurance protection, and financial security.

Taking a few moments to review your plans today can make a significant difference tomorrow.

What was the highlight of your Thanksgiving weekend?

One of the things I learned while settling my mother's estate is that being named as an executor is a much bigger job than many people expect.

There are forms to complete, organizations to notify, accounts to settle, and countless details to manage, often while grieving the loss of a loved one.

To help others be better prepared, I have an Executor Guide and a Guide to Leave for Your Executor. Both are designed to make the process more manageable and reduce stress for families.

If you'd like a copy of either guide, please send me a message. I'd be happy to share them.

Have you ever acted as an executor? Was there anything about the process that surprised you? And if you haven't, have you thought about who would handle your affairs someday?

This message hits home for me.

I've seen firsthand the impact that a lack of life insurance can have on a family. As an advisor, I've sat with families who were surprised to discover there was no coverage. As a daughter, I lived through it when my father passed away when I was just 15.

Life insurance isn't about you. It's about the people who would have to carry on without you.

When I say I'm Your Kitchen Table Advisor, it's about much more than where we meet.

For generations, some of life's most important conversations happened around the kitchen table. It's where families talked about their goals, their concerns, major life decisions, and their hopes for the future.

That's exactly how I approach my work.

Being a kitchen table advisor means taking the time to listen before recommending solutions. It means understanding your family's unique situation, explaining things in plain language, and helping you make informed decisions with confidence.

Whether we're discussing insurance, investments, retirement planning, estate concerns, or protecting your family's future, my goal is to be someone you can trust to guide the conversation, answer the tough questions, and help you navigate life's financial decisions.

Products are important, but relationships matter more.

After all, the best financial plans don't start with paperwork. They start with a conversation around the kitchen table.

☕ What's the best advice you've ever received around a kitchen table?

As a financial advisor, I spend a lot of time helping families prepare for life's uncertainties.

What no plan can fully prepare us for is how much we'll miss the little things.

Looking at this call log from my mom, I'm reminded that what once seemed like just another phone call was actually a gift. Today, I'd give anything to answer one more.

Her passing has reinforced something I talk about often with clients: while planning for the future is important, so is making the most of the people and moments we have right now.

Take the call. Have the conversation. Make the visit.

Those moments matter more than we realize.

One of the most important parts of my job is helping clients avoid surprises.

Recently, I worked with a couple who learned that their bank mortgage insurance coverage would no longer protect them after age 65. They were understandably concerned because they had assumed the coverage would continue for the duration of their mortgage.

Situations like this highlight the importance of understanding the details of your coverage, not just having coverage.

A regular review with a trusted advisor can help ensure your protection matches your needs and that there are no unexpected gaps when you need it most.

If you're not sure exactly how your current coverage works, let's have a conversation.
