Meet Ken Green - From Chemical Engineering to Chartered Accounting 💼
Not everyone takes the traditional path into accounting...
But then again, Ken Green isn’t your typical accountant.
He started with a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering, envisioning a future with global oil companies.
Instead, life rerouted him into financial services…
And with an MBA from Schulich School of Business,
Ken embraced a new calling: helping others thrive financially.
Today, he’s the Co-Founder & Partner at GMS CPA,
Combining big accounting firm and big bank experience (PwC, RBC, BMO, Scotia)
With the real-world insights that only come from working side-by-side with business owners and nonprofits.
What Sets Ken Apart?
✅ Deep experience across finance, accounting & strategy
✅ A passion for business, investments, and entrepreneurship
✅ A lifelong learner, always growing via mastermind groups
✅ A grounded leader with values rooted in faith, family, and community
Whether he’s advising a real estate investor on tax strategy,
Or mentoring the next generation through his work at Waterdown Chess Club,
Ken leads with precision, passion, and purpose.
"My most valuable lessons haven’t come from banks… they’ve come from listening to our clients."
When he’s not leading at GMS, you’ll find Ken:
• Worshiping with his family at Harvest Bible Chapel
• Coaching chess
• Golfing, playing tennis, or attending community events
• And being a proud dad to John, Hallie, and Adiel
Want to pick the brain of someone who’s walked both the corporate and entrepreneurial path? Ken is your guy
