The Ray Walter Memorial Scholarship was established by Ward & Uptigrove and the clients with whom Ray worked in recognition of his dedication to his profession, his generous spirit and community involvement.⁠

Ray Walter was a dedicated team-member and dear friend of the staff and clients of Ward & Uptigrove Chartered Professional Accountants. He was a leader within the office and within his community.⁠
⁠
He strived for excellence in his career as a CGA, and worked to better his community as a member of the Listowel Kinsmen Club and the North Perth Fire Department. Ray sadly gave his life during a fire call on March 17, 2011.⁠

This scholarship is awarded annually to a Listowel District Secondary School (LDSS) student(s) who are pursuing educational excellence while working to improve his or her community.

Ward & Uptigrove’s Agriculture Group is hosting a complimentary presentation, Farm Succession: Planning Beyond Today, designed to provide practical guidance on navigating the financial, tax, and family considerations involved in succession planning.

Grey Bruce Public Health is currently seeking a Public Health Inspector to join their team.

The Public Health Inspector is responsible for carrying out the public health programs and services in the areas of prevention enforcement, promotion, protection and education, which are based upon Ontario Public Health Standards and Guidelines, as well as provincial and local legislation. The Public Health Inspector performs public health inspections, investigations, enforcement of health protection regulations, promotion of public health principles and eliminates or decreases infectious diseases and health hazards that impact the well-being of the community.
