KNOW YOUR FULL WEALTH- week 4

You don’t need a policy to ask these questions. You just need five minutes.

To close out this series here are a few questions worth sitting with :

no right answer, just worth knowing where you stand:

1️⃣If I were off work for 6 months starting tomorrow, what would my household actually run on?

2️⃣Does my current coverage through work, a spouse, or a policy I bought years ago still match my life today? My mortgage, my kids, my business?

3️⃣Am I self-employed or a business owner with zero income protection if I got sick?

4️⃣Do I actually know what my group benefits at work do, and don’t, cover?

You don’t need all the answers today. This series was about giving you the information to ask better questions ; for yourself, your family, or your team. That’s it.

If you ever want a second set of eyes on where your own gaps might be, my door’s open ; no pressure, just a conversation.

What A Night!👠

✨ Watch Her Soar Gala 2026 ✨

Saturday night was a beautiful reminder of what happens when a community comes together with intention.

Men and women gathered as a team to support Dress for Success Okanagan’s largest fundraiser, united by a shared belief in the potential of women. Because when we remove barriers and create opportunities for women to thrive, we strengthen the teams that men and women are part of every day, at home, in their communities, and in the workforce.

One of the most moving moments was witnessing our client graduates Michelle, Rhonda, and Tiffany experience real-time makeovers and step into the spotlight. ❤️

Tiffany, your words have stayed with me: “You are never too far behind to go where you want to go.”

Watching you bloom throughout the evening was such a gift. I cannot wait to see where you soar next!

To our graduated clients who volunteered as models, thank you for your time, energy, and commitment to helping other women access these same opportunities. You are living proof of the impact of this mission.

To our gala committee, Wow Corporate Events, Lori Stevenson and her incredible team, and our Board of Directors, who were 100% in attendance, thank you for your passion, dedication, and belief in what we are building together. It is an honour to serve alongside you.

When we invest in women, we invest in stronger families, stronger communities, and a stronger
workforce.

Saturday night you all joined in the goal of transforming lives and igniting careers.

Thank You

KNOW YOUR FULL WEALTH - week 3

Built for the Work the Okanagan Actually Does

Nurses. Hygienists. Millwrights flying out to camp. Framers, electricians, shop owners.

This one’s for you.
Risk doesn’t show up the same way for everyone.

Nurses & dental hygienists: years of long shifts, repetitive strain, and physical demands. The toll adds up quietly, long before any diagnosis does.

Out-of-town and camp workers (mining, forestry, oil & gas): weeks away from home mean your local support system such as family, friends, and your usual routine isn’t right there if something happens.
Recovery can mean travel, lost rotations, and family carrying more at home.

Trades & small business owners: no sick days, no HR department, no benefits package behind you. If you’re not working, the business often isn’t either.

Critical illness coverage doesn’t erase these risks. It just means a diagnosis doesn’t also have to mean a financial crisis on top of everything else.

✨ Flying high into Thanksgiving with a grateful heart! 🍂

One of my biggest takeaways from Pam’s Ladies Happy Hour? I couldn’t believe how many first-time ladies joined us! ❤️

I LOVE meeting new people. The fresh energy, meaningful conversations, different perspectives, new opportunities, connections, and friendships that begin when women gather in a room together. There is something so special about it.

And to our beautiful community, THANK YOU for the warm embrace you gave every new face. You made it feel easy to walk in as a stranger and leave feeling connected. 🥂

This Thanksgiving, I’m especially grateful for this movement of friendship, connection, and celebration. Here’s to welcoming more women, making more memories, and continuing to lift each other up!

That’s the magic of Pam’s Ladies Happy Hour. 💕

WEEK 2: The Gap Most People Don’t See

If you couldn’t work for six months starting tomorrow, what would actually happen to your income?

Here’s a gap that catches many hardworking Canadians off guard.

EI sickness benefits can provide up to 55% of your average insurable weekly earnings, to a maximum of $729 per week in 2026, for up to 26 weeks.

Long-term disability insurance can help replace a portion of your income, often around 60% to 70%. But here’s what many people overlook: your benefit may not cover your full income, and bonuses or commissions may be excluded from the calculation.

That means even with coverage through work, you could still have a significant gap between what you earn and what you receive.

What about self-employed Canadians and business owners?

If you’re self-employed, you generally aren’t covered by EI sickness benefits unless you’ve opted into the program and meet its eligibility requirements. And unless you’ve arranged private disability coverage, you may have no disability income protection in place at all.

This is where the right plan matters.

For some people, that means reviewing their existing long-term disability coverage and determining whether additional protection is needed to top up the gap. For others, especially business owners and the self-employed, it may mean putting income protection in place for the first time.

Your financial plan shouldn’t just account for the future you’re working toward. It should also account for the unexpected detours along the way.

Understanding your income protection gap is one step toward building a more resilient financial future.

Benewealth Strategies Inc Helping you prepare for the unexpected, so you can focus on what matters most.

There’s something so special about a family sharing their beloved recipes and inviting you into their home through food.
If you’re someone who gets a little rush watching friends and family enjoy something you’ve poured your heart into, you know exactly what I mean. ❤️
That’s the experience toriwesszer of Fraîche Living : Tori Wesszer created last night at the launch of Fraîche & Simple with Sandhill.
Four stations of Tori’s recipes paired with w**e, a beautiful gift bag, Toby Tannas wonderful inteToby Tannas’s mom and dad proudly mingling and a room full of best friends, moms and daughters sharing it all.
I learned Tori poured three years of her life into this cookbook. And her love of people was just as evident. She personally signed every book, giving each person her full attention;even as the line stretched out the door.
We didn’t just leave with a cookbook. We left with a little piece of Tori’s heart to bring into our own kitchens.
Congratulations, Tori. What a beautiful evening. 🤍

KNOW YOUR FULL WEALTH - week 1 of the four part series

Critical illness insurance is the insurance for living.

It’s not about what happens if you don’t make it home it’s about protecting the life you’ve worked so hard to build if you do.

Here’s what that looks like in practice:

1. You’re diagnosed with a covered condition. Comprehensive policies cover 25+ conditions, from cancer and heart attack to stroke and beyond.

2. You receive a lump sum tax-free, deposited directly to you, no strings attached.

3. That money gives you choice when it matters most: for your medical care, for protecting the lifestyle you’ve worked so hard to build, and for staying on top of the bills that don’t stop while you’re not earning.

Not all critical illness contracts are built the same. When you’re comparing coverage, make sure yours includes conditions like Acquired Brain Injury and Loss of Independent Existence ; not every policy does, and those are exactly the kind of gaps that matter most.

It’s not health insurance, and it doesn’t touch your hospital bill. It’s there for everything else protecting the income, the home, and the life you’ve spent years building, while your health care is handled elsewhere.

Critical illness insurance is one of the best ways to build real confidence into your financial plan. Think of it as the seat belt you never knew you’d be so glad to have until the day you needed it.

Know your full wealth, now and in the future.
