💲 Eligible Canadians will receive a one-time GST top-up payment starting June 5, 2026!

❓️Am I eligible? If you filed a 2024 tax return & were eligible for GST, then yes!
❓️How will I know how much? Quickest way to determine how much you will receive, is within your CRA My Account - Benefits & Credits.
❓️How will I receive it? Direct deposit if it is setup with CRA, if not, a cheque will be mailed.

🤯 Imagine doing your job WRONG, 83% of the time... *see comments for article*

🧐 Audit finds CRA call centres gave WRONG answers 83% of the time to Canadians’ tax questions, between February & May 2025, according to a new report from Auditor General Karen Hogan.

🫠 The report also criticized the CRA for prioritizing staff schedules & breaks over accuracy, & the Canadian Taxpayers Federation said the findings show how overly complex Canada’s tax system has become, calling for major simplification.

🏠 If you haven't bought your first home & hope to in the next 15 years, an FHSA is your GREATEST investment saving tool! Even if you're not sure if you will, but you'd like to experience immediate tax savings, this is still for you!

WHY?
💲 Saves $5600 to $13,000 in Federal Taxes (depending on your taxable income bracket rate) with the maximum $40,000 FHSA lifetime contribution. (PLUS thousands in Provincial tax savings, that vary by province)
🤯 Withdrawls are 100% TAX FREE, unlike RRSPs. PLUS you can move your previous RRSP contributions over to your FHSA (within FHSA limit room).
💸 Every dollar you invest, is a dollar that grows tax-free!

What if I don't end up buying a home?
1. You have 15 years to decide (or until 71)
2. Roll into an RRSP without it affecting your RRSP room
3. Withdrawls will be taxed

‐‐----‐----------------------------------------------------------------
‼️IMPORTANT: Speak with your Bank, Financial Advisor or Tax Professional BEFORE setting up any registered investment accounts. This will ensure they are setup properly & avoid costly penalties.

💲 BC Residents. Was your July GST payment lower than usual?🤷

It's most likely due to the Carbon Tax elimination in April. Which then eliminated the BC Climate Action Tax Credit (BCCATC) payments, from your quarterly GST payments.
