We may not be the biggest fish in the lake, but as a small business we understand the importance of having quality client interactions over having a client portfolio that is so big we barely know who you are. Investments in one place. Insurance arranged years ago. Business finances that have changed considerably.

Each piece may have made sense when you put it in place. But have you reviewed how they work together lately?

As year-end approaches, choose one area to revisit:
• Your investment goals and time horizons
• Your cash needs over the coming year
• Your insurance coverage and beneficiaries
• The connection between business plans and retirement plans

You don’t have to tackle the whole list at once.
A focused review can help you identify what deserves attention next—and make that next step easier to take.

Message me “BIG PICTURE” to talk about where a review could be most useful.

Groceries cost more.
Gas costs more.
Insurance costs more.

And for many of us, it can feel like the same paycheque simply doesn’t stretch as far as it used to.

That’s why I don’t believe a financial plan should be treated as something you create once and never touch again.

Prices change.
Life changes.
Priorities change.
Your plan needs room to change with them.

A few ways to build in more flexibility:

→ Revisit your spending throughout the year, not just in January.

→ Build some breathing room into your numbers instead of planning down to the last dollar.

→ Treat your financial plan as a living document. What worked two years ago may need adjusting today.

The goal isn’t to create a plan that’s perfect once.

It’s to create one that can keep working as life, and the cost of it, changes.

A polished website.
A convincing article.
A “financial expert.”
Maybe even a Google search result.

None of those things automatically mean the information is trustworthy.

That matters because financial misinformation is getting much harder to spot.

One of the human parts of financial planning that I value most is being the person my clients can call and say, “I saw this, what do you think?”

You don't need to become an expert in scams, markets, AI-generated content and securities regulation.

You need people around you who will slow things down, ask questions and help separate a real opportunity from really good marketing.

That's part of what financial planning should be.

There was a time when spotting questionable financial information online was relatively easy. Poor spelling.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and for me, it’s personal.

My mother is a two-time breast cancer survivor. 💗

When someone becomes seriously ill, the impact reaches beyond their health.

Time away from work, added expenses and a loved one stepping into a caregiving role can put financial pressure on an already overwhelmed family.

That’s why conversations about financial protection matter.

Coverage such as critical illness and disability insurance can help ease some of that pressure, depending on the policy and circumstances.

It’s one way to create more room to focus on treatment, recovery and being there for each other.

If you’re unsure what protection you have or how it fits your family’s needs, I’m always happy to help you understand your options.

The insurance you arranged years ago reflected the life you had then.

Since then, perhaps your business has expanded. Your income has increased. Your family depends on you differently. Or retirement is getting closer.
Those changes are a reason to revisit how your coverage fits.

A useful review asks:
• What would need funding if something happened to you?
• Who depends on your income or your role in the business?
• What resources and coverage are already in place?

The right amount and type of insurance depend on your circumstances. A review may reveal a gap or show that your priorities have changed.
That’s worthwhile progress.

Message me “REVIEW” to discuss whether your protection still fits this stage of life.

When you’ve already built a meaningful investment portfolio, the next move can feel surprisingly difficult.
There are more options. More moving parts. More questions about whether everything fits together.
Progress this month might mean reviewing one overlooked account, revisiting an old goal, or finally having the conversation you’ve been putting off.
Each step gives you something useful: better information for the next decision.
Choose one financial loose end to address this October. Give it a place on your calendar.
Small progress deserves credit, too.

Thanksgiving has a way of bringing everyone (and every conversation) around the same table.

Between the turkey, family stories, and catching up, money might come up too.

A new home.
Retirement plans.
Helping the kids.
What the next few years might look like.

You don’t need to have all the answers over dinner.
Sometimes, simply starting the conversation is enough.

Because good financial planning often starts with talking about what matters most, and sometimes that means talking WITH the people who matter most.

From all of us at Clear Worth Financial Group, Happy Thanksgiving! 🍂

You’re saving. Investing. Making progress.
But when you think about retirement, you still wonder: “Am I doing enough?”
An account balance can tell you what you have today. Understanding what it could support takes a closer look at the life you want, your timeline, and the demands your money may need to meet.
Start with something specific: What would you like an ordinary week in retirement to look like?
More travel? Less work? Time with family? The freedom to choose?
That picture gives your planning direction. You don’t need every answer today to take a useful next step.
Message me “RETIREMENT” if you’d like to talk about what “enough” means for you.

Strong revenue. Healthy cash flow. A business you’ve worked hard to build.

And still, a question: “Am I making the most of what I’m earning?”

The next stage of growth takes more than bringing money in. It means deciding what that money needs to do—for your business, your family, and your future.

As the last quarter begins, consider:
• What needs to stay available for upcoming commitments?
• What could support longer-term goals?
• Is your personal wealth getting the same attention as your business?

You don’t need to overhaul everything before December. One thoughtful decision can move you forward.

Message me “GROWTH” to start a conversation about your next financial priority.

I originally joined The Bridge Youth & Family Services Society because of a cause that was deeply personal to me: supporting mothers experiencing postpartum depression through the Beyond the Blues program.

But my time with The Bridge has opened my eyes in ways I didn’t expect.

One of those has been deepening my understanding of Truth and Reconciliation. I’m continuing to listen, learn and educate myself — from hearing the stories of residential school survivors to taking courses, reflecting on land acknowledgements and thinking about the small, meaningful actions I can take in my own life.

I know I still have a lot to learn. And I think that’s part of it.

Reconciliation isn’t a box to check. It’s an ongoing commitment to listening, learning and finding ways to move forward with greater awareness and intention.

I’m grateful to The Bridge for being part of that journey.
