Intuit is phasing out QuickBooks Desktop. This means that add-on services, bank feeds, and critical security updates will be ending.

Quickbooks Desktop 2024 version will still be supported until September 30, 2027, but support of their 2023 software version ended in May 2026. It is important to effectively migrate your financial data to an online bookkeeping platform. We can help!

Accountapotamus bookkeepers are knowledgeable on the tricks and pitfalls of financial data conversions. Whether you move to Quickbooks Online (QBO), Xero, or another software, please ask your bookkeeper to assist with the migration.

Behind the Bookkeeper: Meet Wendy! ☘️✨

When she's not keeping clients organized and balancing the books, Wendy is off exploring the world with her husband.

Recently, Wendy spent 10 unforgettable days discovering the beauty, history, and culture of Ireland. Arriving prepared for rain and chilly weather, she was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by sunshine for all but one day of the trip!

From walking and biking tours in Dublin to a dinner cruise along the Grand Canal, every day brought a new adventure. Highlights included a ferry ride to the Aran Islands, a tour of the Ring of Kerry, traditional Irish music and Celtic dancers, castle tours, and even watching sheep herding dogs at work.

Wendy also enjoyed exploring Ireland's stunning countryside, historic landmarks, breathtaking stained-glass windows, and the National Stud & Japanese Gardens in Kildare, which inspired a visit to the Punchestown Horse Races before heading home.

After 10 days of incredible experiences, one thing is certain: Ireland's charm, beauty, and rich history left a lasting impression. Although Wendy may have one piece of advice for future travellers, leave the driving to someone else! 🇮🇪🚗😂

Ontario Job Grant Program Relaunch -

Employers may be eligible for up to $10,000 per employee through the newly redesigned Ontario Job Grant (formerly the Canada-Ontario Job Grant). The program provides financial assistance to employers investing in short-term training for their workers. This provincial program has updated guidelines and eligibility requirements for businesses of all sizes looking to up-skill their workforce.
