Reflecting on the past 27 years of my career. What a journey.

As I celebrate 15 years of my Professional Corporation this month, I’ve been reflecting on the path that brought me here — from starting as a Bookkeeper, to becoming a CRA Auditor, earning my CPA designation, growing into Financial Controller and CFO roles, gaining a Professional Business Coach Certification, and now stepping into a new chapter focused on coaching, mentorship, and helping business owners grow strategically and sustainably.

Early in my career as a CRA Auditor, I witnessed firsthand how many small business owners were incredibly talented at what they did — yet struggled with the financial side of running a business. Managing cash flow, understanding financials, planning for growth, and making confident business decisions often felt overwhelming.
That experience stayed with me.
It sparked a passion for helping business owners not just survive, but truly understand their numbers and use them to build stronger, healthier businesses.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping businesses navigate growth, operations, financial leadership, and strategic decision-making. Those experiences taught me so much — not only about business and finance, but also about resilience, leadership, and the realities entrepreneurs face every day.
Now, as I continue building GrowthEdge Inc. and prepare to launch my Financial Leadership & Strategic Growth Masterclass, I realize this next chapter isn’t a departure from my past — it’s the natural evolution of it.
Over the last 27 years, I’ve learned:
