Susan brings a unique energy and instinct for clients to every interaction. For nearly 25 years, she’s helped clients align their values and goals, needs and wants, and translate those into a living, evolving wealth plan. Specializing in meeting the needs of professional women, healthcare professionals and retirees, Susan couples her personal life experiences with empathy to help clients move forw
ard with wise decisions. Susan started her career in commercial design after graduating from Mount Royal University, Faculty of Interior Design. Through that, she learned the key to a successful project and a happy client is to thoroughly understand the client’s needs and the parameters of the project and then incorporate these elements into a plan that meets those needs; on-time and on budget. It taught her the value of listening to your client and other attributes that have become ingrained in her practice. After being a client to six different investment advisors and financial services companies in three provinces and still not finding the type of compassionate and thorough advisor she was looking for, Susan decided on a career change, and started in the investment industry in 1997. After numerous years of running her practice parallel to Rick’s the pair decided to merge their practice into one. Drawn to Richardson Wealth’s deep sense of family values and Canadian legacy, the Morson Carson Wealth Counsel moved their practice to the firm in 2021. In addition to her degree in interior design, Susan has the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified International Wealth Manager (CIWM), Fellow of Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), Real Wealth Manager (RWM), Responsible Investment Advisor Certification (RIAC) and Elder Planning Counselor (EPC) designations. She is proud to call the Comox Valley home and is passionate about contributing both personally and professionally to this remarkable Valley. Susan enjoys cycling, cross-country skiing, travelling, spending time with family, friends and playing with her grandchildren. An avid reader who is committed to life-long learning, Susan is currently studying how to apply behavioural finance insights to her work with clients.
