NEW TAX CREDIT

Ontario Fertility Treatment Tax Credit is a new, refundable tax credit available for the 2025 tax year and future years, providing up to $5,000 in annual support (25% of up to $20,000 in eligible expenses).

It covers expenses like IVF, fertility medication, and storage, supporting residents in reducing out-of-pocket fertility costs.

Many taxpayers received emails from Canada Revenue Agency this week informing them that their mail preferences have automatically been switched from Mail to Electronic. CRA will send you an email each time you have mail, and then you must log into your CRA My Account to read your mail. I am unsure why they have taken it upon themselves to automatically make this change.

Should you wish to make a change back to paper mail, you can view and edit your Notification Preferences on the Profile page in My Account.
