Still buzzing a bit from Friday’s Central Alberta First Industry Connector's Forum! 🎉

You know what was really cool about this event? They didn’t just invite businesses to hand out business cards. They actually got government folks, community groups, and financial teams in the same room to talk directly with local owners about how we can actually support our local economy.

My amazing CIBC partner Shannon Lukens and I were so proud to sponsor the Learning Labs and represent the Access to Capital team. We spent the day talking to so many of you about the practical stuff—how to fund your business growth safely using our CIBC Wood Gundy wealth advice and her lending magic. 📈🤝

It is so much fun getting out from behind the desk and hearing what you’re all building this year. A huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard to put this together, and to everyone who pulled up a chair at our setup to say hi!

If you went on Friday, what was your favorite part of the day? 👇

Today is the day, hope to see you there!

Today is the day, hope to see you there!

One of the things I enjoy most about my role is collaborating with great people.

That's why I'm excited to be joining Shannon Lukens at the Central Alberta Industry Connector Forum on June 12 at Olds College.

We're proud to be supporting the event as a Learning Lab Sponsor through CIBC.

Whether it's helping clients navigate big financial decisions or connecting them with the right professionals, I've learned that the best solutions rarely come from one person.

Looking forward to a great day of learning, conversations, and connections across Central Alberta.

Hope to see you there! 😊

Earlier this week, I had a fantastic time visiting the Olds College campus with our Community General Manager, Ed! 🚜🏗️ We took a tour of the W.J. Elliot (trades) Building and saw the amazing renovations happening on site.

Working with local families every day, I know just how essential the trades are to Central Alberta. It’s so inspiring to see this kind of growth and investment right in our own backyard, and to see our province truly embracing the need for more skilled workers.

As economist Benjamin Tal recently said, "Blue is the new white [collar]" in the future world of AI. The trades are more important now than ever!

At CIBC and CIBC Wood Gundy, we are always looking for ways to partner with and uplift our local community. I am so proud to see the next generation getting the hands-on training they need to build our future.

We are down to our final few seats for next Wednesday’s Living Legacy seminar! ⏳🏡

We’re keeping the room small so we can skip the generic lecture and dive into a real conversation. If you own a home or acreage and want to know how to safely use your equity to enhance your retirement cash flow, navigate long-term health care planning, or help your kids get ahead sooner, this is for you.

Mortgage specialist Shannon Lukens and I will be breaking down exactly how to do it without a forced sale. With such a small group, we will have time to answer your specific questions over coffee and make sure you walk away with real clarity.

Join us next Wednesday, June 17th at 6:30 PM at the Holiday Inn & Suites Red Deer South (Gasoline Alley).

Getting into the market today looks a lot different than when my husband and I stood outside our first home in 2015. 🍂🏡

Over the last decade, a lot has changed, especially how incredibly tough and unaffordable it has become for the next generation to get ahead.

Standard retirement plans look at what’s left over at the very end. But by then, your children are much older! While leaving a legacy down the road is great, what if you could support the next generation now, when they are starting out and need it most?

If there’s one thing a decade in this business has taught me, it’s that you have to plan for tomorrow while still living for today.

Let's look at how to build that flexibility. Join me on Wednesday, June 17th (6:30 PM to 8:00 PM) at the Holiday Inn & Suites Red Deer South (Gasoline Alley) for my seminar: The Living Legacy. Alongside mortgage specialist Shannon Lukens, we’ll show you how to safely use your property's equity to help your family sooner.

Have you ever thought about what would need to change for you to stay in your home long-term? 🏡

If a health emergency hit tomorrow, most families would be forced to make tough decisions because their wealth is tied up in their property. It doesn't have to be that way.

Join me at my upcoming seminar, The Living Legacy: Transforming Property Value into Retirement Freedom, on June 17th. We’ll map out exactly how to safely tap into your property equity to protect your future, whether you want to stay in your current home or try something new.

Can your home help fund your future healthcare needs? 🗓️❤️

As we get older, health and long term care costs often become our biggest variable. Covering premium nursing care or retrofitting a home so you can comfortably age in place can add up fast.

The good news is you do not have to face a forced sale of your property to find that cash. The equity built up in your home can be a strategic tool to give your family options.

However, you need to put these strategies in place before you actually need them. If a medical need popped up tomorrow, what is your family's health emergency plan?

Health events usually happen quickly, and trying to figure out funding in the middle of a crisis is incredibly stressful.

Let's build that safety net now. As a wealth transition specialist, I am hosting my educational seminar, The Living Legacy: Transforming Property Value into Retirement Freedom, on Wednesday, June 17th. I will be walking families through the different strategies used to access equity in their home to enhance their retirement, particularly to ensure you are fully protected for the what if scenarios.

Space is limited, so click the link below to reserve seats for you and a family member! 👇
