Ontario tax credits are changing. Is your business ready?

Ontario’s tax incentive landscape is shifting, creating both deadlines and new opportunities for businesses investing in growth.

ROITC Ending December 31, 2026
The Regional Opportunities Investment Tax Credit (ROITC) is set to expire. Eligible CCPCs can still access:
-10% refundable tax credit
- Up to $45,000 annually
- Support for commercial and industrial building investments

Only expenditures incurred for a building or addition that is “available for use” on or before on December 31, 2026 are eligible for the credit.

OMMITC Expanded & Enhanced
The Ontario Made Manufacturing Investment Tax Credit (OMMITC) has become even more attractive for manufacturers and processors:
-Credit rate increased from 10% → 15%
-Expanded to include certain non-CCPCs
-Up to $3 million annual credit available
-Eligible for buildings, machinery, and equipment investments
