The theme of our social business model is that even a small contribution from capable individuals of our society can bring the children of the urban slums out of the cycle of poverty by contributing only 1 mat for 1 child.
Our online campaign at Hult Prize 2015 is about to end and we thank all the funders for making us a winner in their eyes! As we have always said – ‘This is not where we end, this is where we begin’; ‘Sneho’ is the start of a social wave which has already created a strong awareness of ECE within our reach. $2500 seems like a small amount but it’s huge to support our model. This amount is good enough to let us distribute about 850 durable alphabet mats to 850 kids at urban slums. Can you think of any other ways to reach so many disadvantaged kids with such amount?
Let’s not forget the amount of toys that the privileged kids donated for their friends living at slums. The spirit of their donation surprised many parents and teachers, alike. It was so powerful that adults started to donate funds by realizing how their contributions could help to develop the ‘Share & Care’ nature in their kids. Our solution is so simple that kids at junior levels understood the idea in no time, which made each of our on-site fundraising campaigns very successful.
Our solution is field tested and we have already partnered up with a local NGO to distribute our products and services. Winning the Hult Prize 2015 or even pitching our idea at the final round will obviously provide more children at slums the chance to receive our services, but not reaching that goal will not derail our progress. We have started something great and success is inevitable at this point.

Our way of showing gratitude to the little Sneho contributers from Scholastica (Junior and Middle)! It was an honor to be able to spend 4 wonderful days with them and getting to see their smiles and enthusiasm for our Sneho. The campaign has been nothing short of a huge success and while we truly appreciate the contributions from the beloved parents, we couldn't help but feel that their children had played a bigger role in it, by donating their bundles of joy into our "Boxes of Sneho" throughout the whole week.

After a long day at the fundraising and old books and toys collection event at BRAC University, Sneho wraps up Day 1 with smiles and hope for a better future for the underprivileged children without ECE. Even we were surprised to see the joy on the faces of the kids and the community member while distributing the mat today.
