Extension of Deadline for Submission of Income Tax Return (AY 2025–2026)

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has extended the deadline for submission of income tax returns for the Assessment Year 2025–2026 by one month for all types of taxpayers, except Individual and HUF.

𝐍𝐁𝐑 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐀𝐓 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has issued a circular dated 15 March 2026 extending the deadline for submission of the VAT Return for the period of February 2026 through the e-VAT system.

In consideration of the extended public holidays due to Eid-ul-Fitr and Independence Day, as well as technical slowness experienced in the e-VAT system server, the NBR has extended the deadline for online submission of the February 2026 VAT Return until 29 March 2026.

Accordingly, taxpayers may submit their VAT Return for the period of February 2026 through the e-VAT system on or before 29 March 2026.
