Regarding discretionary trust distribution to bucket companies, it is unclear whether the Budget 2026-27 suggest a discretionary trust declares the gross amount or the net amount after the 30%.
E.g. if a discretionary trust made a $100 profit, and paid 30% minimum trust tax on that, and its distributed to the corporate beneficiary, does the corporate beneficiary receive $100 or $70 trust distribution?
