For Ross Ried, the Albury Tigers Football Club has never just been a football club, it's been family. His parents volunteered at the club. His brother still volunteers today. His sons played junior football there. For generations, the Tigers have been woven into family life - a powerful example of the role community sport plays in creating connection, belonging and lifelong friendships.

A ROLE HE NEVER EXPECTED

Sometimes the most important opportunities arrive when nobody else puts their hand up. Ross Ried laughs that some of his roles at the Albury Tigers Club came about because someone needed to do them. One role led to another. One season became many. And before long, he had become one of the club's most respected volunteers and a Life Member.

It's proof that some of the biggest contributions start with simply saying, "I'll help."
